The challenge.
Juneteenth Festival Louisville, in partnership with Black Complex, transformed downtown Louisville into a cultural festival. The 4-day gathering at Waterfront Park and surrounding venues featured 40+ Black businesses, musical performances, panel discussions, networking events, and food. The festival was free and open to the public — and needed corporate and individual support to stay that way.
What we did.
- Built corporate sponsorship structure that kept the festival free for attendees
- Developed individual giving pipeline for sustaining donors
- Coordinated with Black Complex on partnership-aligned funder selection
- Established post-event stewardship plan for repeat support
