The challenge.

K9s4COPs places trained working dogs with law enforcement agencies, fire departments, schools, and hospitals — supporting public safety, search and rescue, and therapy work in communities that couldn't otherwise afford the cost of a fully trained K9 unit. The organization's challenge is sustainable, mission-aligned funding for an ongoing operational program where every active K9 represents recurring training, handling, and care commitments.

What we did.

• JP leads the organization as CEO, setting strategy across placement, training, fundraising, and partner relations
• Built recurring-giving infrastructure around the K9-sponsorship model ($9/month keeps a K9 on the job)
• Coordinated cross-sector partnerships with police, fire, schools, and hospital systems
• Established donor stewardship for individuals, foundations, and corporate sponsors funding active placements

K9s4COPs continues to place and support working dogs nationally, funded by individuals, foundations, and corporate partners who sustain each K9's operational deployment in the field.
