Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
On a 9x13 inch baking sheet, press the ground chuck into a thin, even layer covering the entire pan.
Liberally season the ground chuck with steak seasoning.
Bake for about 7 minutes.
While the meat is baking, slice the entire slab of Hawaiian rolls in half horizontally, separating the tops from the bottoms.
Once the meat is cooked, carefully lift the entire sheet of meat off the pan and place it on the bottom half of the rolls.
Top the meat with sautéed onions, followed by a generous layer of shredded cheese.
Place the top half of the rolls over the cheese.
In a small bowl, combine the melted butter and garlic salt.
Brush the garlic butter mixture evenly over the tops of the rolls.
Return the sliders to the oven and bake until the cheese is melted and the sliders are warmed through.
Remove from the oven, slice into individual sliders, and serve warm.
Store cooled sliders in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat wrapped in foil at 325°F for 10–12 minutes until warmed through.
Yes. Assemble the sliders, wrap tightly in foil, and refrigerate up to 24 hours before baking. Add a few extra minutes to the bake time if baking from cold.
Ground chuck (80/20 blend) is ideal because it has enough fat to stay moist and flavorful during baking without being too greasy.
Use a thin, even layer of ground beef, don't overbake, and ensure the sautéed onions and cheese layer on top to retain moisture.
Yes. Simply double all ingredients and use two 12-count packages of Hawaiian rolls. Baking time may increase by 5–10 minutes depending on your oven.
American, cheddar, or Swiss cheese all work well. American cheese melts fastest and most evenly, while sharp cheddar adds more flavor.
