CookOS is currently in beta. Features may change, and we're actively improving the experience. We appreciate your patience and feedback as we build.

What CookOS Does

CookOS helps you discover and organize recipes, food spots, and creator content from across the web. Share a recipe link, and we surface the ingredients, instructions, and key details so you can cook without the clutter.

Your Use of CookOS

• Use CookOS for personal, non-commercial recipe saving
• Don't abuse the service through automated scraping or excessive requests
• Don't submit content that violates others' rights
• We reserve the right to suspend accounts that misuse the platform

Automated Access & AI Policy

CookOS is an AI-friendly platform. We support the broader AI ecosystem and want CookOS recipes to appear in AI-powered search results.

• AI search crawlers are welcome. Bots from ChatGPT (GPTBot), Claude (ClaudeBot, anthropic-ai), Perplexity (PerplexityBot), Google AI (Googlebot-Extended), Cohere (cohere-ai), and similar AI search engines are explicitly permitted to index all public recipe content. These bots power real-time citations in AI-generated responses and help people discover CookOS.
• Bulk data harvesting is prohibited. Automated scraping, crawling, or downloading of CookOS content at scale — for the purpose of training AI models, building competing products, or replicating our database — is strictly prohibited without our written permission, regardless of the tool or service used.
• Rate limiting is enforced. Automated access that exceeds normal browsing behavior may be rate limited, blocked, or reported. CookOS uses automated abuse detection to protect platform integrity.
• Attribution is required. Any republication or citation of CookOS recipe content must include attribution to CookOS and, where possible, to the original recipe creator. We do not grant rights to present CookOS-indexed content as your own.
• Commercial use requires permission. Using CookOS data in commercial products, APIs, or AI training datasets requires explicit written consent from CookOS. Contact [email protected] for licensing inquiries.

We believe in a healthy, open AI ecosystem. Our policy distinguishes between AI tools that bring people to CookOS (welcome) and tools that extract CookOS data to build competing products (prohibited). Violations may result in IP blocking, legal action, or both.

Content and Copyright

• Recipes you save remain attributed to their original creators
• We display recipe content with clear source attribution and links back to the original
• We don't claim ownership of recipes from external sources
• Content creators can request removal by contacting [email protected]

Recipe Information

• Recipe details like dietary tags, difficulty levels, and cook times are generated automatically and may contain errors
• Nutritional information, when shown, is estimated and should not replace professional dietary advice
• Always refer to the original source for the most accurate recipe information

Availability

• CookOS is provided “as is” during beta
• We don't guarantee uninterrupted availability or permanent data storage
• We may modify or discontinue features at any time

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, LaunchKitOS LLC (operator of CookOS) is not liable for damages arising from your use of the service, including inaccurate recipe information or data loss.

Our Commitment

CookOS is and will remain ad-free. We believe recipes should be about the food, not the ads. We will never sell advertising space or your attention to third parties.

Alcohol & Age-Restricted Content

CookOS catalogs recipes from the open web, including cocktails and other recipes that contain alcohol. Recipes that reference alcohol are gated behind a legal-drinking-age confirmation. By selecting “Yes” on that prompt, you confirm you are of legal drinking age in your country. CookOS is not directed at users below the legal drinking age in their country. If you are not of legal drinking age, do not view or interact with these recipes.

Third-Party Trademarks

Brand names, logos, and product images displayed on CookOS — including the names of social platforms, retailers, and recipe creators — are the property of their respective owners. CookOS uses these marks only for identification and attribution.

Instacart^® and the Instacart logo are registered trademarks of Maplebear Inc. d/b/a Instacart. CookOS is an independent third-party developer using the Instacart Developer Platform; CookOS is not operated by, endorsed by, or affiliated with Instacart beyond the developer relationship. Use of Instacart marks on CookOS is governed by the Instacart Developer Platform Terms.

Changes

We may update these terms. Continued use after updates means you accept the new terms.
