In a large mixing bowl, combine the devil's food cake mix and the vanilla instant pudding mix.
Add the eggs, 1 cup of Coca-Cola, and softened butter to the bowl.
Using a hand mixer on low speed, begin mixing the ingredients. Gradually increase the speed and mix until the batter is smooth and well combined.
Generously grease a 9x13 inch baking dish with butter.
Pour the cake batter into the prepared dish and spread evenly.
Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 30-35 minutes, or until a fork or toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
While the cake is baking, prepare the icing. In a saucepan over low heat, combine 1/2 cup of Coca-Cola and 2 tablespoons of butter.
Add the cocoa powder and stir continuously until the butter has melted and the mixture is smooth.
Remove the saucepan from the heat and whisk in the powdered sugar until the icing is smooth and glossy.
As soon as the cake comes out of the oven, pour the warm icing evenly over the hot cake.
Let the cake cool before slicing and serving.
