Place frozen dinner rolls in a greased baking dish and let them thaw and rise for a few hours, according to package directions.
Once risen, gently press down on the rolls to flatten them slightly and create crevices.
In a separate bowl, combine the melted butter, brown sugar, 1 tablespoon of cinnamon, and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract. Mix until well combined.
Pour the butter and sugar mixture evenly over the dinner rolls.
Bake in a preheated oven at 400°F for 15-20 minutes, until the top is golden brown and the sauce is bubbly.
While the rolls are baking, prepare the icing. In a small bowl, whisk together the milk, powdered sugar, and 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract until smooth. Add a pinch of cinnamon, if desired.
Remove the rolls from the oven and let them cool for 5-10 minutes.
Drizzle the icing over the warm rolls and serve immediately.
