Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and spray with cooking spray.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, minced onion, minced garlic, minced serrano pepper (if using), salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and cayenne pepper.
Mix the ingredients thoroughly with your hands until well combined.
Carefully open each pita bread to create a pocket.
Divide the meat mixture evenly among the pitas, stuffing it inside and pressing it into a thin, flat layer.
Place the stuffed pitas on the prepared baking sheet.
Bake for 10 minutes.
Flip the pitas over and bake for another 10 minutes, or until the pita is golden brown and crispy and the meat is cooked through.
