Alfie Cocktail Recipe

Pro tips

• Use fresh or high-quality pineapple juice to avoid cloying sweetness; cheap mixes often overpower the vodka.
• Keep ingredients chilled before serving to minimize the amount of ice melt.
• The dash of triple sec is small but essential—don't skip it, as it balances the citrus and pineapple notes.
• Serve immediately after pouring to maintain the brightness of the drink.

Substitutions

• Old Mr. Boston Lemon Vodka → regular vodka + 1/2 oz fresh lemon juice (adds tartness; adjust sweetness as needed)
• Pineapple Juice → mango juice or passion fruit juice (changes flavor profile to tropical)
• Old Mr. Boston Triple Sec → Cointreau or Curaçao (orange liqueurs; Curaçao adds color)

Can I make the Alfie Cocktail without triple sec?

You can omit it, but the triple sec adds depth and orange notes. Cointreau or another orange liqueur works as a direct substitute.

Should the Alfie Cocktail be served over ice or shaken?

Serve over ice in a rocks or cocktail glass. If shaking, do so briefly with ice, then strain into a fresh ice-filled glass.

What type of pineapple juice is best for this cocktail?

Fresh or premium bottled pineapple juice works best; avoid cocktail mixes with added sugars if you prefer balanced sweetness.

Can I batch prepare the Alfie Cocktail?

Yes—combine vodka, pineapple juice, and triple sec in a pitcher and chill. Pour over ice when serving to prevent dilution.
