Cabbage Alfredo with Kielbasa

In a large skillet or pot over medium heat, add the butter, sliced red onion, and chopped cabbage.
Season generously with salt and pepper to your liking.
Top with the sliced kielbasa.
Cover the pot and cook for 10 minutes without stirring.
After 10 minutes, remove the lid and stir everything together to rotate the contents.
Cover again and cook for another 10 minutes.
Stir again. The cabbage should be tender.
Add dollops of cream cheese over the top of the mixture.
Cover and let the cream cheese melt for about 5-6 minutes.
Stir well to fully incorporate the melted cream cheese, creating a creamy base.
Add the grated Parmesan cheese, bacon crumbles, and heavy whipping cream to the pot.
Sprinkle the dried parsley and garlic powder over the top.
Stir everything together until the sauce is well combined.
Cover one last time and allow the sauce to simmer and thicken for a few minutes before serving.
