Tips & Notes

Pro tips

Use the Instant Pot trivet to cook eggs and rice sequentially without cross-contamination; depressurize fully between cycles.
Brown the ground beef in a separate skillet while rice cooks to maximize multitasking and reduce overall prep time.
Dice hard-boiled eggs small to prevent choking hazard; ensure all ingredients are cooled before serving to pets.
Drain all fat from cooked ground beef to reduce digestive upset, especially for dogs with sensitive stomachs.

Substitutions

Ground lean beef → ground turkey or lamb (use same weight, cook through, drain fat)
Organic brown rice → white rice or sweet potato (adjust cooking times in Instant Pot)
Carrots → green beans, peas, or zucchini (proportions remain the same)
Olive oil → coconut oil (use same amount for similar nutritional benefit)

Storage & make-ahead

Store in airtight containers in the refrigerator for up to 4 days or freeze in daily portions for up to 3 months; thaw overnight in the fridge before serving.
