Rinse the long grain white rice under cold water until the water runs clear. Add the rinsed rice to the pot of your rice cooker.
Pour in the chicken broth, soy sauce, toasted sesame oil, and oyster sauce.
Stir everything together to combine the rice and liquids.
Add the frozen peas and carrots, frozen corn, and frozen chopped onion on top of the rice.
Add the butter to the pot.
In a small bowl, whisk the egg and then pour it over the top of the other ingredients. Do not stir.
Close the lid and cook on the standard white rice setting. This typically takes about 20 minutes.
Once the cooking cycle is complete, open the lid and use a rice paddle or spoon to fluff and mix all the ingredients together, breaking up the cooked egg.
Serve warm, garnished with sliced green onions if desired.
