Add juice, grenadine, and bitters to old-fashioned glass with three to four large ice cubes.
Top with club soda.
Garnish with long twist of lime.
Best served immediately after assembly. Pre-mixed non-carbonated components keep refrigerated up to 24 hours; add soda and ice just before drinking.
Mix the lime juice, grenadine, and bitters in advance, but add club soda and ice immediately before serving to preserve carbonation.
A traditional Rickey contains rum or gin; a Rumless Rickey omits the spirit entirely, making it alcohol-free.
Fill a highball glass three-quarters full with ice to chill the drink while preventing over-dilution as it melts.
Yes—multiply the lime juice, grenadine, and bitters quantities and chill. Add club soda and ice to individual glasses just before serving.
Aromatic or citrus bitters complement the lime; use a light hand (one dash) to avoid overpowering the drink.
