Beef and Broccoli Lo Mein

In a bowl or measuring cup, combine soy sauce, hoisin sauce, ground ginger, onion powder, white pepper, sesame oil, and rice wine vinegar to create the sauce base.

In a small separate bowl, whisk together the cornstarch and water to create a slurry. Add the slurry to the sauce and mix well.

Place the thinly sliced sirloin in a bowl and pour a portion of the sauce over it to marinate. Let it sit for 15-30 minutes.

Heat a wok or large skillet over high heat until piping hot. Add the marinated steak and cook for a couple of minutes until seared.

Remove the cooked steak from the wok and set it aside.

In the same wok, add the chopped onion and sliced garlic. Sauté for about a minute until fragrant.

Add the blanched broccoli florets to the wok, then pour in the remaining sauce. Let it simmer and thicken for a minute.

Return the cooked steak to the wok, followed by the cooked lo mein noodles.

Toss everything together until the beef, broccoli, and noodles are evenly coated in the sauce. Serve immediately.
