Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a skillet over medium-high heat, brown the breakfast sausage, breaking it up with a spoon. Drain any excess grease.
While the sausage cooks, open the can of biscuits and cut each biscuit into quarters.
Spray a 9x13 inch baking dish with cooking spray. Arrange the quartered biscuits in a single layer on the bottom.
Top the biscuits with the cooked sausage, followed by an even layer of shredded cheese.
In a medium bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, and pepper.
Pour the egg mixture evenly over the cheese and sausage layer.
Prepare the country gravy mix according to the package directions.
Pour the prepared gravy over the top of the entire casserole.
Bake for about 30 minutes, or until the eggs are set and the top is golden brown and bubbly.
