Common Questions
Can I make Champagne Cup ahead of time?
Mix the brandy, triple sec, and powdered sugar in advance, but add carbonated water and ice just before serving to preserve carbonation.
What's the difference between triple sec and curaçao in this recipe?
Both are orange liqueurs; using both layers the orange flavor. Curaçao is slightly sweeter and more herbal. You can substitute one for the other in equal measure.
How should I serve Champagne Cup?
Serve over ice in a chilled coupe or highball glass. Garnish with a citrus twist or fruit slice for presentation.
Can I scale this recipe for a punch bowl?
Yes. Multiply all ingredients by the number of servings needed, combine liqueurs and sugar first, then add carbonated water just before guests arrive.
