Set up a three-step breading station with separate plates for flour, beaten eggs, and panko breadcrumbs.
Dredge each chicken cutlet in flour, then dip in the egg wash, and finally coat completely with panko breadcrumbs.
Arrange the breaded chicken in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Air fry until golden and cooked through.
Top each cooked chicken cutlet with slices of fresh mozzarella. Return to the air fryer and cook for another minute or two until the cheese is melted.
Place the bottom half of the slider buns in the air fryer basket and spoon marinara sauce over them.
Layer the cheesy chicken cutlets on the buns, top with more marinara sauce, and cover with the top half of the buns.
If desired, brush the tops of the buns with melted butter and sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese.
Return the assembled sliders to the air fryer and cook for a few minutes until the buns are toasted and everything is heated through.
Remove from the air fryer and serve immediately.
