Process ingredients in blender with 1 cup crushed ice until smooth.
Pour into hurricane glass.
Top with whipped cream and chocolate.
Serve immediately after assembly. If prepared ahead, store layered liqueurs in the refrigerator for up to 2 hours; add ice cream and garnish fresh.
bar spoon (for layering) · jigger (for measuring liqueurs)
Pour ingredients slowly over the back of a bar spoon in order of density: Irish cream first, then hazelnut liqueur, then coffee liqueur. Top with vanilla ice cream and chocolate shavings.
Prepare and layer the liqueurs in advance, but add the ice cream scoop and chocolate shavings immediately before serving for best texture and presentation.
Use a vegetable peeler or microplane to create thin, delicate shavings from a chocolate bar, adding them after the whipped cream for visual appeal.
You can swap hazelnut liqueur for amaretto or frangelico, and coffee liqueur for Kahlúa or Tia Maria, though flavor profiles will change slightly.
