Trim the crusts from the slices of bread.
On one slice of bread, add a layer of shredded cheese, followed by two slices of ham.
Top with a second slice of bread and press down firmly to flatten the sandwich.
Add another layer of shredded cheese and the remaining two slices of ham.
Place the final slice of bread on top and press down firmly again.
In a small bowl, crack the eggs. Add the coffee creamer and ground cinnamon.
Whisk the egg mixture until smooth and well combined.
Pour the egg batter into a shallow dish wide enough to fit the sandwich.
Carefully dip the sandwich into the egg batter, ensuring all sides are fully coated.
Melt butter in a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Place the coated sandwich in the pan.
Cook for 2-3 minutes per side, until golden brown. Use tongs to toast the edges of the sandwich as well.
Once all sides are toasted and the cheese is melted, remove the sandwich from the pan.
Let it cool for a minute, then slice in half diagonally.
Serve immediately, drizzled with maple syrup if desired.
