Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
Prepare the vegetables: trim the ends off the Brussels sprouts and cut them in half. Thinly slice the red onion.
In a large, oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat, cook the bacon slices until crispy.
Remove the bacon from the skillet and set aside on a plate, leaving the rendered bacon grease in the pan.
Place the Brussels sprouts in the skillet, cut-side down in a single layer. Cook for 8-10 minutes without stirring, until the bottoms are well-browned.
Add the sliced red onion to the skillet. Season with salt and pepper and stir to combine.
Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and roast for 8-10 minutes, until the Brussels sprouts are tender.
Carefully remove the skillet from the oven. Add the goat cheese and stir until it melts into a creamy sauce.
Crumble the reserved bacon and add it to the skillet. Drizzle with balsamic glaze, stir gently, and serve warm.
