Rocky Road Muddy Buddies

Pro tips

• Microwave the chocolate-peanut butter mixture for exactly one minute initially, then stir before adding the ice cream to ensure smooth melting without scorching.
• Add the first batch of marshmallows (6 tablespoons) to the warm mixture only until they start to slightly melt—this creates texture variation in the final snack.
• Use a rubber spatula to stir so the coating adheres evenly to every piece of cereal without breaking it.
• Serve warm and melty for best flavor, or enjoy it crispy on the first day after the powdered sugar coating sets.

Substitutions

• Rocky road ice cream → vanilla extract or omit (the ice cream adds flavor depth but isn't essential)
• Peanut butter → any nut butter or Nutella (for different flavor variations)
• Mini-marshmallows → regular marshmallows cut into small pieces (adjust quantity as needed)
• Nuts → any chopped nuts or seeds like almonds, pecans, or sunflower seeds

Storage & make-ahead

Store in an airtight container or resealable bag at room temperature for several days; reheat gently to restore the warm, melty texture.
