Affair Cocktail (Strawberry Schnapps Cranberry Orange)

Pro tips

• Chill all ingredients before mixing to avoid excess dilution from melting ice.
• Use a 1:1:1 ratio by volume—the proportions are equally important to balance sweetness and citrus tartness.
• Serve immediately after mixing; this cocktail tastes best fresh rather than pre-made.

Substitutions

• Strawberry schnapps → peach schnapps or vodka + strawberry liqueur (shifts flavor profile slightly)
• Cranberry juice → cranberry cocktail or pomegranate juice (affects tartness level)

Can I make this cocktail without strawberry schnapps?

Yes. Substitute with vodka plus strawberry liqueur, or use peach schnapps for a different fruit profile.

Is this cocktail sweet?

Yes—strawberry schnapps and the fruit juices make it a sweet drink. Adjust ratios or add fresh lemon juice to balance sweetness.

How do I batch this for a party?

Multiply the 2 oz portions by the number of servings and mix in a pitcher; add ice and serve in individual glasses.

Should I use fresh or bottled juice?

Bottled juice works fine and is more convenient; fresh juice will taste brighter but requires juicing citrus beforehand.

What's the best way to serve this?

Pour over ice in a highball or rocks glass; garnish with an orange slice or fresh cranberries for presentation.
