Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
In a 9x13 inch casserole dish, place the Boursin cheese in the center.
Surround the cheese with cherry tomatoes, sliced shallots, and minced garlic.
Sprinkle the red pepper flakes, fennel seeds, dried oregano, and Italian seasoning over everything.
Drizzle generously with olive oil and season with salt and black pepper.
Bake for 30 minutes, until the tomatoes have burst and the cheese is soft.
While the cheese and tomatoes are baking, cook the pasta according to package directions. Reserve about 1/2 cup of the pasta water before draining.
Remove the casserole dish from the oven. Add the cooked pasta, reserved pasta water, and fresh basil to the dish.
Mix everything together until the cheese and tomatoes form a creamy sauce that coats the pasta.
Serve immediately, garnished with freshly grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
