Tips & Notes

Pro tips

Use fresh lemon and orange juice—bottled juice will dull the bright citrus character that defines this cocktail.
Shake vigorously for 10–15 seconds to properly chill and dilute; a well-chilled drink improves balance and mouthfeel.
Strain into a chilled glass to prevent rapid dilution and maintain the cocktail's intended strength and texture.

Substitutions

Apricot brandy → peach brandy (slightly different stone-fruit profile)
Curacao → triple sec (drier orange note, less sweetness)
Grenadine → pomegranate syrup (similar flavor, adjust to taste)

Equipment

cocktail shaker · jigger · strainer

Common Questions

Can I make a Bermuda Bouquet without apricot brandy?

Yes—substitute with peach brandy or increase the grenadine to 1 tsp for similar sweetness, though the flavor profile will shift away from apricot.

Should this cocktail be served over ice or shaken?

Shake all ingredients with ice until chilled, then strain into a coupe or cocktail glass. Serving over ice is also acceptable if you prefer a longer, diluted drink.
