Heat olive oil in a large skillet or pan over medium-high heat.
Add the sliced Italian sausage and diced chicken to the hot pan.
Sauté the meat until browned, stirring occasionally.
Season the meat with salt and pepper to taste.
Add the cheesy Italian pasta helper mix to the pan and stir to combine with the meat.
Pour in the water, stir well, and bring the mixture to a boil.
Once boiling, reduce the heat to a simmer, cover, and cook for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally until the pasta is tender and the sauce has thickened.
While the pasta is simmering, melt butter in a separate skillet over medium-high heat.
