Use Large Glass Pitcher
Fill pitcher with cubes of ice.
Add 1 pint of Claret.
Stir well and decorate with as many fruits as available and also rind of cucumber inserted on each side of pitcher.
Top with small bunch of mint sprigs.
Serve in 5 oz.

Best served immediately. Pre-mixed base (without carbonated water) keeps refrigerated up to 2 days; add carbonated water fresh when serving.
Brandy is central to this cocktail's character. For a non-alcoholic version, substitute with a brandy-flavored syrup or omit entirely and increase carbonated water.
Old Mr. Boston Five Star Brandy is the traditional choice, but any smooth, moderately aged brandy (cognac or similar quality) works well.
Serve over ice or chilled. The carbonated water should be added cold to maintain fizz and temperature.
Mix the brandy, triple sec, curaçao, and powdered sugar ahead, but add carbonated water just before serving to preserve carbonation.
Serve in a tall glass, wine glass, or punch cup over ice for authentic presentation.
