Preheat your oven to 325°F (160°C).
Slice the entire slab of Hawaiian rolls in half horizontally, keeping the rolls connected.
Place the bottom half of the rolls into the original cardboard tray or a similar-sized baking dish.
Spread the cooked ground beef evenly over the bottom rolls.
Top the beef with a layer of crumbled cooked bacon.
Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the bacon.
Arrange the sliced jalapeños over the cheese.
Drizzle the barbecue sauce over the jalapeños.
If using, add a layer of crispy fried onions.
Place the top half of the rolls back on top.
Brush the tops of the rolls with melted butter.
Cover the tray tightly with aluminum foil.
Bake for about 10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the sliders are heated through.
Remove from the oven, slice into individual sliders, and serve immediately.
Store cooled sliders in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat covered in a 350°F oven for 10–12 minutes until warmed through.
Yes. Assemble the sliders, cover tightly with foil, and refrigerate up to 24 hours before baking. Add 5–10 minutes to bake time if baking cold.
Slider buns, dinner rolls, or brioche rolls work well. Avoid rolls that are too dense or sturdy, as they won't soften when baked.
Don't overbake. Bake just until the cheese is melted and rolls are warm. Cover with foil if the tops brown too quickly.
Yes. Monterey Jack, pepper jack, or American cheese are good alternatives. Avoid low-moisture cheeses that won't melt smoothly.
A 12-count package of Hawaiian rolls yields 12 sliders, assuming one slider per roll or split rolls for smaller portions.
