Peel and thinly slice the cucumbers. Lay them in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with paper towels.
Using more paper towels, pat the cucumber slices dry to remove as much excess moisture as possible. Set aside.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the sour cream, ranch seasoning mix, white vinegar, and chopped fresh dill.
Whisk the dressing ingredients together until smooth. Season with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder to your taste.
Add the thinly sliced red onion to the dressing and stir to combine.
Add the dried cucumber slices to the bowl with the dressing.
Gently fold everything together until the cucumbers and onions are evenly coated in the dressing.
Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 1-2 hours to allow the flavors to meld before serving.
