Apple brandy (calvados-style) is distilled from apples and has fruity, lighter notes, while cognac or standard brandy comes from grapes. Together in this drink, they create depth and complexity.
Traditionally served up (chilled, no ice) in a coupe or cocktail glass for an elegant presentation. Shake well with ice and strain.
Mix the spirits and lemon juice in advance, but shake with ice and strain immediately before serving to preserve dilution balance and temperature.
Light appetizers like cheese, charcuterie, or seafood canapés complement its bright, spirited profile as an aperitif.
