To make garlic easy to peel, apply a small amount of heat. You can either place the head of garlic in the microwave for 10-20 seconds, or place it in a convection oven at 250°F for about 5 minutes.
Let the garlic cool down for a moment so it's safe to handle.
The cloves should now easily separate from the head and the peels will slip right off.
