Egg In The Hole Breakfast Sandwich

Using the rim of a glass, press down firmly in the center of one slice of bread to create a circular indent.

Place the indented bread slice in a lightly buttered, preheated pan over medium heat.

Toast the bread on both sides until golden brown.

Crack an egg directly into the indented center of the toast.

Cover the pan and cook for 2-3 minutes, or until the egg white is set and the yolk is cooked to your preference.

While the egg cooks, prepare the other half of the sandwich. On the second slice of bread, layer the lettuce, cooked bacon, and slice of cheese.

Arrange the tomato slices on top of the cheese.

Once the egg is cooked, place the egg-in-a-hole toast on top of the assembled sandwich base.

Slice the sandwich in half and serve immediately.
