Tips & Notes

Pro tips

Blend ingredients with ice until smooth and slushy to avoid over-blending, which dilutes the drink.
Add lemon-lime soda after blending to preserve carbonation and prevent a flat texture.
Chill your glass briefly before serving to keep the drink colder longer.

Substitutions

Triple Sec → Cointreau or Grand Marnier (richer orange flavor)
Fresh Lime Juice → bottled lime juice (less fresh taste; use slightly less)
Grenadine → cranberry syrup (deeper berry notes, less sweet)

Storage & make-ahead

Best served immediately after blending. Frozen cocktails do not store well.

Common Questions

Can I make a non-frozen version of the Frozen Fuzzy?

Yes. Shake all ingredients (except soda) with ice, strain into a glass over fresh ice, top with lemon-lime soda, and garnish with a lime wedge.

What type of ice should I use for blending?

Use crushed ice or standard ice cubes for easier blending. Avoid large ice blocks that strain the blender.

Can I make this ahead for a party?

Pre-mix and freeze the schnapps, triple sec, lime juice, and grenadine in advance; blend with ice and top with soda when serving to prevent dilution.

What does the Frozen Fuzzy taste like?

Sweet peach and orange notes from the schnapps and triple sec, balanced by tart lime juice and fruity grenadine, with a light, refreshing finish from lemon-lime soda.
