Grapeberry Cocktail (Cranberry Grapefruit Juice)

Pro tips

• Chill all juices beforehand—serve over ice immediately after mixing for maximum freshness and flavor.
• Stir gently and pour from a measured jigger to maintain consistent 3:3 ratio between the two juices.
• Taste before serving; cranberry and grapefruit acidity vary by brand, so adjust sweetener if needed.

Substitutions

• Cranberry juice → pomegranate juice (slightly less tart, more floral)
• Grapefruit juice → fresh-squeezed orange juice (sweeter, less bitter)
• Both juices → unsweetened cranberry-grapefruit blend (convenience swap)

Storage & make-ahead

Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days; stir before serving.

Can I make this ahead?

Yes, mix and refrigerate up to 24 hours. Stir before serving, as juices may separate slightly.

What type of cranberry juice works best?

Use unsweetened or lightly sweetened cranberry juice to avoid excessive sweetness. Avoid cocktail blends with added sugars.

Can I add alcohol to this?

Yes. Vodka, gin, or rum work well. Add 1.5–2 oz per serving and reduce juice proportions if desired.

How do I adjust the tartness?

Add more cranberry juice for tartness, more grapefruit for sweetness, or a splash of simple syrup to balance acidity.
