In a large mixing bowl, combine the mayonnaise and softened cream cheese.
Using a hand mixer, beat the mayonnaise and cream cheese together until smooth and well combined.
Add the shredded cheddar cheese, minced garlic, chopped green onions, slivered almonds, and crumbled bacon to the bowl.
Season with Italian seasoning, crushed red pepper flakes, and seasoned salt.
Using a spatula, fold all the ingredients together until everything is evenly incorporated.
Transfer the dip to a serving bowl. For the best flavor, cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours to allow the flavors to meld.
Just before serving, garnish with additional chopped green onions.
Serve with soft pretzel bites, various chips, and fresh vegetables.
Cover and refrigerate up to 3 days. Serve chilled; reheat gently in a slow cooker on low if preferred warm.
Yes. Mix the dip completely, transfer to a serving bowl, cover, and refrigerate up to 24 hours. Add fresh green onions and bacon as garnish just before serving.
Serve with crackers, tortilla chips, vegetable sticks (celery, bell peppers, cucumbers), or toasted bread slices.
Sharp cheddar is ideal for flavor, but you can substitute with gruyere or a mild cheddar blend, though the dip will be less sharp.
This recipe is best served chilled. If you prefer warm, transfer to a slow cooker on low or small dip warmer before serving.
Store covered for up to 3 days. The bacon may soften slightly over time, so add fresh crumbled bacon as garnish if making ahead.
