In a medium bowl, combine mayonnaise, ketchup, minced onion, hot sauce, Worcestershire sauce, prepared horseradish, smoked paprika, black pepper, and salt to make the Russian dressing.
Stir until all ingredients are well combined. Set aside.
In a skillet over medium heat, warm the sliced pastrami and sauerkraut.
Generously butter one side of each slice of marble rye bread.
Place the bread butter-side down in a clean skillet over medium heat. Toast until golden brown and crispy.
Flip the bread to briefly toast the other side, then flip back so the buttered, toasted side is down.
Spread a generous layer of Russian dressing on the top side of each slice of bread.
Lay the Swiss cheese slices over the dressing, covering the bread.
Place the skillet under the broiler for a moment to melt the cheese until bubbly.
Remove the bread from the skillet and place on a wire rack.
On one slice of bread, pile the warmed pastrami, followed by the warmed sauerkraut.
Top with the other slice of bread, cheese-side down. Slice in half and serve immediately.
