Use Large Glass Pitcher.
Fill pitcher with cubes of ice.
Add 1 pint of Rhine Wine.
Stir well and decorate with as many fruits as available and also rind of cucumber inserted on each side of pitcher.
Top with small bunch of mint sprigs.
Serve in 5 oz.
Claret glass.
Mix fresh to order; do not store prepared drink. Pre-mix dry ingredients and liqueurs separately up to 1 day ahead.
Triple sec is a clear, orange-flavored liqueur with sharper citrus notes, while curaçao is deeper and slightly more complex. Both add orange flavor and sweetness; the combination balances brightness and depth.
Mix all ingredients except carbonated water in advance, then add chilled sparkling water just before serving to preserve carbonation and freshness.
Serve in a wine glass or punch cup filled with ice. The sparkling water keeps it light and refreshing.
California brandy is traditional for this recipe, but any quality brandy will work. Avoid overly aged or expensive bottles since mixing dilutes their complexity.
