Twister Cocktail (Vodka Lime Lemon Soda)

Pro tips

• Squeeze fresh lime juice immediately before mixing to preserve acidity and flavor.
• Use chilled lemon soda and vodka for the best taste without over-diluting with ice melt.
• Stir gently with ice rather than shaking to preserve carbonation from the soda.

Substitutions

• Lemon Soda → Club Soda + 0.5 oz simple syrup (reduces sweetness, adds acidity)
• Lemon Soda → Tonic Water (adds bitterness, classic vodka tonic base)
• Fresh Lime → Lemon juice (similar citrus profile, slightly less aromatic)

Can I use bottled lime juice instead of fresh?

Fresh lime juice is recommended for better flavor, but bottled works in a pinch—use about 0.5 oz to match the acidity of 1/3 fresh lime.

What type of vodka should I use?

Any standard vodka works well; premium brands aren't necessary since the lime and soda are the dominant flavors.

Can I make this without soda?

Yes—substitute with club soda or tonic water, though the drink will be less sweet and more bitter with tonic.

How do I adjust sweetness?

Use more or less lemon soda depending on preference, or add 0.5 oz simple syrup for extra sweetness without diluting the drink.

Should this be served over ice?

Yes, serve over ice to keep it cold; add ice when mixing or pour into an ice-filled glass.
