To make the optional homemade ranch, combine mayonnaise, buttermilk (or milk), and the ranch dressing mix in a bowl. Whisk until smooth and set aside for dipping.
If desired, add extra toppings like thinly sliced red onion to the frozen pizza before baking.
Bake the frozen pizza according to the package directions.
While the pizza bakes, prepare the garlic butter. Melt unsalted butter in a small saucepan over low heat. Add minced garlic and a pinch of salt. Cook for about 4 minutes until fragrant, being careful not to burn the garlic.
