In a large pan or Dutch oven over medium heat, cook the diced smoked bacon and diced onions.
Sauté until the bacon is rendered and the onions are golden brown.
Pour in the heavy cream. In a small bowl, whisk together the flour and water to create a slurry, then add it to the pan. Stir to combine.
Season generously with freshly ground black pepper and stir. Allow the sauce to simmer and thicken for a few minutes.
While the sauce cooks, boil the spaghetti in a separate pot of salted water until al dente. Drain well.
Add the cooked spaghetti and freshly chopped parsley to the cream sauce.
Toss everything together until the pasta is thoroughly coated in the sauce. Serve immediately.
