Start by cooking your rice in a rice cooker and roasting your broccoli in the oven.
In a mixing bowl, season the sliced chicken with olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, salt, and smoked paprika.
Add cornstarch to the seasoned chicken and toss until every piece is well-coated.
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the chicken in two batches to avoid overcrowding the pan, cooking until golden brown and cooked through. Set aside.
While the chicken cooks, prepare the sauce. In a separate bowl, whisk together soy sauce, brown sugar, minced garlic, and cornstarch.
In the same skillet used for the chicken, melt the butter over low heat.
Pour the sauce mixture into the skillet and whisk continuously as it heats up and begins to thicken.
Once the sauce has thickened, add the cooked chicken back to the skillet.
Toss the chicken in the sauce until it's fully coated.
Garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds.
Serve the sticky chicken over a bed of white rice with a side of roasted broccoli.
