Twister (Vodka Lime Lemon)

Pro tips

• Squeeze fresh lime juice immediately before mixing to maximize citrus brightness and tartness.
• Add ice to the glass before pouring to chill the drink and prevent dilution from melting ice.
• Use a lime wedge garnish not just for looks—squeeze and drop it in to add extra lime oil and flavor.
• Pour lemon-lime soda last and slowly to preserve carbonation and control sweetness balance.

Substitutions

• Lemon-lime soda → club soda or ginger ale (for less sweetness or different flavor profile)
• Fresh lime juice → fresh lemon juice (shifts tartness and citrus character slightly)

Can I use bottled lime juice instead of fresh?

Fresh lime juice is recommended for better flavor and brightness, but bottled works in a pinch—use about 1/2 oz and adjust to taste.

What type of vodka works best?

Any standard vodka works; choose a quality brand you enjoy drinking, as vodka's clean taste is key here.

Should I chill the glass beforehand?

Yes, chilling the glass keeps the drink colder longer and improves the drinking experience.

Can I batch this recipe for a party?

Yes—multiply the vodka and lime juice by servings, chill, then top with lemon-lime soda just before serving to keep carbonation.
