In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, diced onion, minced garlic, egg, breadcrumbs, salt, and pepper.
Mix with your hands until just combined, then form the mixture into 12 small patties.
Place the patties on a wire rack set over a parchment-lined baking sheet.
In a small bowl, whisk together the ketchup and yellow mustard to create the glaze.
Brush the glaze generously over the top of each meatloaf patty.
Bake at 400°F for about 35 minutes.
With about 10 minutes of baking time remaining, spread mayonnaise on the cut sides of the slider buns.
Toast the buns on a griddle or in a pan until golden brown.
Place a cooked meatloaf patty on each bottom bun and top with pickle slices and sliced onion.
Place the top bun on and serve immediately.
